To plan and implement areas of fund raisers to provide means to support workshops, retreats, seminars, trips, conferences, etc. To be of assistance for whatever area they may be needed in.
Youth Ministry of Jerusalem Baptist Church is an organization that primarily works with the youth of the church. Our purpose is to promote spiritual guidance for the youth. We have tried to accomplish this in various ways. Here are some of our activities that this organization has done with and for our youth: assist with Sunday School, chaperone the youth at Youth Retreat, sponsor lock-ins at the church, sponsor Harvest Festival in October, provide Christian literature, sponsor family trips to theme parks and to see Christmas lights in Bedford County and Tanglewood Festival of Lights in NC, provide gospel bowling and skating nights, sponsor swimming pool parties, supply school supplies for children, provide Christmas gifts to the needed, clean youth choir robes and support the youth choir when they are performing outside of the church. The Youth Ministry members along with the youth have also visited the sick in nursing homes and private homes during special holidays. The Youth Ministry is responsible for planning Youth Day in June and the Spring Youth Revival in April.
